Set Kahf as Default Browser

Setting Kahf as your default browser means links you open from emails, chat apps, and other programs will automatically open in Kahf Browser. This helps you keep a consistent, privacy‑focused experience on every link you open.

You can change the default browser at any time in your system settings.

Before you start

  • Make sure Kahf Browser is installed on your device.
  • If not, follow How to Download and Install.
  • Open Kahf Browser at least once so your system can detect it as an available browser.

Set Kahf as default on Windows

  1. Open Kahf Browser.
  2. If you see a banner saying “Kahf is not your default browser,” click Set as default and follow the prompts.
  3. Or, open Settings → Apps → Default apps in Windows.
  4. Scroll to find Kahf Browser and click it.
  5. Set Kahf Browser as the default for HTTPHTTPS, and .html (and any other web‑related types you want).

If Windows still opens links in another browser, check for third‑party “browser manager” or security tools that may be overriding your choice, or see Kahf Browser Not Opening.

Set Kahf as default on macOS

  1. Open Kahf Browser.
  2. Go to Kahf Browser → Settings or Preferences from the menu bar (name may vary by version).
  3. Find the Default browser section.
  4. Click Make default (or similar) and confirm in the macOS prompt.

If macOS does not show Kahf as an option, ensure you have opened the app at least once and that you are running a supported macOS version (see System Requirements).

Set Kahf as default on Android

  1. Install Kahf Browser from Google Play and open it once.
  2. Open Settings on your Android device.
  3. Go to Apps (or Apps & notifications, depending on your device).
  4. Tap Default apps.
  5. Tap Browser app.
  6. Select Kahf Browser from the list.

On some Android versions, the system may ask you to choose a browser the first time you open a link; select Kahf Browser and then Always or Remember my choice.

Set Kahf as default on iOS

On iOS, Kahf must support Apple’s default browser feature and you need a recent iOS version.

  1. Install Kahf Browser from the App Store and open it once.
  2. Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
  3. Scroll down and tap Kahf.
  4. Tap Default Browser App.
  5. Select Kahf.

If you do not see the Default Browser App option, update your device to a newer iOS version and check again, or use Kahf manually by opening it when you want a safer browsing session.

Tips and troubleshooting

  • If links still open in another browser, re‑check your system’s Default apps settings.
  • Some apps have their own in‑app browsers; look for a setting like “Open links in external browser” and make sure Kahf is the system default.
  • For persistent issues or unexpected behavior, visit the Troubleshooting & Fixes section or contact support via the Help Center.
